Where to buy ships
Ships are sold by Fleet Office managers at the Vellua, Demeniss and Delesyia ports. Medium and large ships can also be built through shipbuilding dispatch missions at Delesyia. They need more materials and time but spend fewer Camp Funds. The source did not list the material amounts.
Your first ship: Small Greymane Ship
You build the first ship with the Small Shipbuilding dispatch mission at Vellua Port. It needs 600 Stone, 600 Wood, 1,200 provisions and 10,000 Camp Funds, plus five comrades including one with Engineering. Construction takes 12 in-game hours, and you can sleep to pass the time. The follow-up quest is Where the Wind Blows.
Requirements before sailing
Finish Chapter 3 of the main story and set up Greymane Camp at Howling Hill. You do not need to finish the whole campaign.
Do the Greymane faction and camp expansion quests, then start A Wider World with A Call from Beyond the Horizon.
Talk to the three Greymane comrades at camp to unlock the shipbuilding dispatch mission.
Which ship should you buy?
The small ships have 14 slots, the medium 22 and the large 36. Prices jump from 40,000 to 1,200,000 to 6,000,000, so the Small Greymane Ship is enough at first, and the Medium Hernandian Ship is a realistic next goal once your Camp Funds grow.
💡 Tip: Many guides suggest upgrading crew (Gunners and Carpenters), sails and cannons before buying a bigger ship.
⚠ Ship, NPC and facility names are translated from English sources and may differ from the official names. Materials for medium and large builds and repair fees were not confirmed.
