Terms of Service

Article 1 (Purpose)

These Terms set out the conditions and procedures for using the community, fortune and information services (the "Service") provided by Raon Community (the "Operator"), and the rights, obligations and responsibilities of the Operator and its users.

Article 2 (Definitions)

① "User" means any member or non-member who uses the Service under these Terms.

② "Member" means a person who has agreed to these Terms and to the collection and use of personal information, signed up and received an account.

③ "Post" means any information a member uploads to the Service, including posts, comments, images and links.

④ "Fortune content" means information provided for entertainment, such as Chinese zodiac and horoscope readings, saju (Four Pillars) readings and lucky numbers.

Article 3 (Sign-up)

① Membership is established when a user agrees to these Terms and to the collection and use of personal information, applies to join and completes email verification.

② Children under 14 cannot sign up.

③ If someone signs up with another person's information or with false information, the Operator may cancel the membership or restrict its use.

Article 4 (Provision of the Service)

① The Operator provides boards, comments, votes, fortune and saju readings, tech and game information and related services.

② The Service is in principle available 24 hours a day, every day of the year. It may be suspended temporarily when needed for operations, such as maintenance or equipment replacement.

Article 5 (Suspension and Changes of the Service)

① The Operator may temporarily suspend all or part of the Service for unavoidable reasons such as maintenance, failures or natural disasters.

② The Operator may change the Service for operational or technical reasons and announces significant changes in advance.

Article 6 (Withdrawal and Loss of Membership)

① Members can withdraw at any time from the 'My info' page; account information is deleted immediately on withdrawal.

② Posts written before withdrawal are not deleted and are shown as by a 'Former member'. Members who want their posts removed must delete them before withdrawing.

③ If a member violates Article 10, the Operator may issue a warning, suspend the account for a period or ban it permanently.

Article 7 (Notices to Users)

① The Operator may notify members by the email address they registered or by notices within the Service.

② Notices to users at large may be made by posting on the notice board for at least 7 days.

Article 8 (Obligations of the Operator)

① The Operator complies with applicable laws and these Terms and strives to provide the Service reliably.

② The Operator maintains security measures to protect users' personal information and publishes and follows a Privacy Policy.

③ The Operator runs a help center to handle users' legitimate opinions and complaints.

Article 9 (Account and Password Management)

① Members are responsible for managing their account and password and may not transfer or lend them to anyone else.

② If a member learns that their account has been stolen or is being used by someone else, they must change their password immediately and notify the Operator.

Article 10 (Obligations of Users)

Users must not:

1. Post other people's personal information, photos or contact details without consent

2. Defame or insult any person or group, or use abusive or hateful language

3. Post obscene material, illegally filmed content, or gambling or illegal speculative information

4. Infringe others' rights, such as copyrights or trademarks

5. Post unauthorized advertising or spam, or flood the Service with repeated content

6. Impersonate the staff or any other person

7. Send excessive requests to the Service with automated programs or otherwise disrupt its operation

8. Otherwise violate applicable laws

Article 11 (Management of Posts and Restrictions)

① The Operator may hide or delete posts that violate Article 10 without prior notice.

② Posts reported by several users may be hidden automatically until they are reviewed.

③ The Operator may use automated tools, including artificial intelligence (AI), to review posts; deletion of posts and sanctions on members are confirmed by the staff.

④ Anyone whose rights are infringed by a post may ask the help center for its deletion or a temporary measure, and the Operator handles it under applicable laws.

⑤ Members may object through the help center when their posts are hidden or deleted.

Article 12 (Restrictions on Suicide and Self-harm Content)

① Posts that encourage suicide or self-harm or describe specific methods are deleted immediately, and the Operator may take further measures required by law.

② If you are going through a hard time, you can get help from professional counseling services such as the Korean suicide prevention hotline (109).

Article 13 (Copyright of Posts)

① The copyright of a post belongs to the member who wrote it.

② Members allow the Operator to use their posts to the extent needed to display them in the Service, show them in search results and promote the Service. The content of posts is not altered in doing so.

③ Members who post others' works without permission are responsible for any resulting liability.

Article 14 (Fortune Content)

① Fortune content is provided for fun and has no scientific basis or guaranteed outcome.

② Fortune content must not be used as the basis for important medical, financial, legal or other decisions, and the Operator is not responsible for decisions based on it.

③ Lucky numbers are for entertainment and do not guarantee lottery winnings. Under Korean law, only people aged 19 or over may buy lottery tickets.

④ The date and time of birth entered for a saju reading are used only to calculate the result and are not stored.

Article 15 (Advertising and Dealings with Advertisers)

① The Operator may display advertisements in the Service, and members agree to see advertisements while using the Service.

② Advertisers are responsible for the content of their advertisements and any transactions made through them; the Operator is not involved in transactions between users and advertisers.

Article 16 (Restrictions on Crawling and AI Training)

① Collecting posts or information from the Service in bulk by automated means without the Operator's prior permission is prohibited.

② Collecting or using posts from the Service as AI training data without the Operator's permission is prohibited.

Article 17 (Limitation of Liability)

① The Operator is not liable when it cannot provide the Service due to force majeure, such as natural disasters, power outages or network failures.

② The Operator is not responsible for the accuracy or reliability of information posted by users and has no duty to intervene in disputes between users.

Article 18 (Amendments to the Terms)

① The Operator may amend these Terms to the extent that applicable laws allow.

② Amendments are announced at least 7 days before they take effect; changes unfavorable to members are announced at least 30 days in advance and also sent by email.

③ Members who do not agree to the amended Terms may withdraw; continuing to use the Service after the effective date counts as agreement to the amended Terms.

Article 19 (Dispute Resolution and Jurisdiction)

① Disputes about these Terms and the use of the Service are governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea.

② Lawsuits related to the use of the Service are filed with the competent court under the Korean Civil Procedure Act.
