Each island in the Charting the Unknown sea hides its own treasure map. Based on Inven staff guides, here is where to get the maps for Samora Island, Nabra Island and the Coral Cluster, where the treasure is, and what you get, plus the shipwreck chests on Samora that hold ship gear recipes.
Maps: Samora Island, Nabra Island, Coral Cluster
Rewards: Swirling Sail, Silver Wave Greatsword, Blue Gem Ring
Tool: Pickaxe (one post says shovel)
Samora and Nabra: Northeast of the map
As of: Nov 7, Inven staff guides
The Three Maps at a Glance
Samora Island: get the map beside the Abyss target, then open the chest below the letter A on the island's west side for the Swirling Sail.
Nabra Island: get the map inside the island's shipwreck and look for the Silver Wave Greatsword.
Coral Cluster: buy a Forgotten Treasure Map at the Relic Exchange on Auronoi Island to find the Blue Gem Ring.
Samora Island: Swirling Sail
Samora Island sits in the northeast of the map. The treasure map is next to the Abyss target on the island. The treasure is on the west side, in a chest below an A-shaped structure. The Inven guide mentions smashing the chest with a pickaxe, and the reward named in the title is the Swirling Sail. Coordinates and the detailed route appear only in screenshots, so we could not confirm them in text. Check the island's west coast first.
Samora Wreck: Two Gear Recipe Chests
Reports say the same Samora shipwreck holds ship gear recipes. According to short tips on Inven, the Pale Curved Sail recipe is in a treasure chest inside the shipwreck hole, and the Sea King's Cannon recipe is in a chest under the wreck. Both posts give only one line of location and no materials or stats. Look around the wreck while you are there for the map.
Nabra Island: Silver Wave Greatsword
Nabra Island is also in the northeast. You find the map inside the island's shipwreck, and its clue reads: a tiny island west of the rocky seabed, that's the spot. Head to the small island west of the rocky seabed to find the treasure, which reportedly rewards the Silver Wave Greatsword. The required tool and the exact spot are only in the post's three screenshots, so confirm the tiny island on site.
Coral Cluster: Blue Gem Ring
Start by buying a Forgotten Treasure Map at the Relic Exchange on Auronoi Island. The clue reads: north of the coral cluster, shallow water. The treasure is east of Auronoi Island, and you dig it up with a pickaxe for the Blue Gem Ring. The map's price is not listed. The sailboat teleportation device blueprint is also on Auronoi, so combine this with your pioneering run.
Things to Know
Locations are screenshot-based, so match yellow arrow marks on site.
Posts disagree between pickaxe and shovel; bring both.
The 12 hidden treasure maps and the DLC special maps are covered in earlier guides.
💡 Tip: On Samora Island you can clear the map, the west chest and the wreck chests in one trip, so bring a pickaxe.
⚠ None of the three posts gives coordinates or a full route in text, so this guide only covers what could be confirmed. Reward stats for the Swirling Sail, Silver Wave Greatsword and Blue Gem Ring were not confirmed.
