This guide rounds up how overseas players are finding the Forsaken Oath set, a diving-focused armor from the Charting the Unknown DLC. No boss, quest or vendor is involved: you only need to open four chests hidden in green rock on the seabed.
Set: Forsaken Oath Plate Armor (4 pieces)
DLC required: Charting the Unknown
How to get: 4 underwater chests (no boss, quest or shop)
Opening the chests: Break the green mineral rock with Force Palm
Key effects: Helm +300 max breath; others +105 and 4% swim speed
What this set is
Forsaken Oath is a four-piece diving armor (helm, armor, gloves, boots) added by the DLC. English guides agree that every piece sits in a fixed underwater chest, with no boss kill, vendor purchase or random drop required. Each chest is embedded in a greenish mineral deposit, so raise your max breath with diving gear before you search.
What you need and how chests open
The Charting the Unknown DLC, a ship, and diving gear. Anything that raises max breath helps a lot.
Each chest hides inside a green mineral rock. Break it with Force Palm, then open the chest. One guide says a pickaxe or mining drill also works for the gloves chest.
If you cannot spot it, use your lantern and reveal ability to see ore glints, and circle the landmark instead of swimming far away.
1. Boots: South Sea or northwest of the Great Coral Reef
Guides differ here. One places the boots at the far southwest edge of the South Sea, on the seabed in front of a small island next to a large coral-covered rock with rising bubbles. Another says to dive offshore from the northwest coast of the island by the Great Coral Reef and search west or southwest of a big coral rock for a protruding rock with a green deposit. It is unclear whether these are the same spot, so try the other if one fails.
2. Gloves: deep in the Great Coral Reef
Go to the Great Coral Reef near the letter R of the map label and dive by a small island. This chest is deeper than the boots (about 125 m according to one guide). Look for a large coral formation with blue flower-like plants and three shiny ore nodes; golem-like enemies may be nearby. Break the golden or mossy mineral rock west of the formation to reveal the chest.
3. Helm: Great Hydrothermal Vents, the hardest one
Head to the water north of the Great Hydrothermal Vents label, south of Delesyia, and dive straight down to the seabed with vent plumes and tall spires. Find the largest central spire, then check the smaller spires to its northwest; the chest is beside one of them, not the central one. On your minimap, look for a cluster of about five ore nodes and a diagonal group of three to the west. One guide calls this the hardest piece to find.
4. Armor: wreck northeast of Ocula Island
Travel to Ocula Island in the far southeastern ocean and dive beside the small rocky islets on its northeast side. Swim into the gap in the middle of the large three-section shipwreck and break the green mineral rock to the east.
Effects at a glance
Helm: +300 max breath, Daze immunity and Spirit regeneration (max refinement)
Armor: 4% swim speed, +105 max breath, plus Defense (max refinement)
Boots: 4% swim speed, +105 max breath, plus Attack and Defense
Gloves: 4% swim speed, +105 max breath
Guides list only part of the stats for some pieces, so check exact numbers in game.
💡 Tip: Getting the helm first gives +300 max breath and makes the other three searches much faster. If it proves too hard to find, start with the boots or armor.
⚠ Locations were compared across three English guides, but the boots and armor directions are worded differently between them. Names such as Force Palm and the set name are English-based translations. Exact stats for the gloves and armor were not confirmed.
