Meta on Friday introduced Spaces, a new feature for working with its Muse agents, the cartoon-style assistants it launched recently. TechCrunch describes Spaces as a fresh way to communicate and collaborate with Muse.
Each Space is a separate conversation built around one topic, which Meta calls a custom experience. Spaces show up in the sidebar of the chat interface, and opening one starts a thread in which Muse works toward a particular goal for the user.
Meta's examples include vacation planning, collecting recipes for a family event, a holiday gift tracker, a wedding planner and DIY projects. Users describe an idea in chat and Muse turns it into a tracker, planner or project board.
People can also connect apps they already use. Meta says Spaces then refresh in the background, surfacing things like new concert dates, price changes or savings progress without being asked.
